TSS Best of 2016

With the spirit and excitement of a new year upon us, all of us at Trusted Senior Specialists (TSS) wanted to take this opportunity to let our clients and colleagues know just how much we appreciate them. As the daughter of Michael Wilhelm, and the “bonus” daughter of Melinda Wilhelm, the two visionary founders of TSS, it my honor to relay the heartfelt gratitude of the  entire TSS family--founders, staff, call center agents, and field agents. We truly have had a remarkable 2016, and we could not have done it without each and every one of you. Before we completely usher in 2017 and wrap this year, we thought it would be wonderful to pause and shine a light on key moments TSS has experienced during these past 12 busy months, from our own perspective.  


TSS has had so many reasons to celebrate this year, but when asked about moments that stuck out, my Dad, Co-Founder Michael Wilhelm, said that undoubtably one of them was being bestowed the Pinnacle Award from the Better Business Bureau again, earlier in the year. The Pinnacle Award is the leading award from the BBB, recognizing “Excellence and Quality in the Workplace.” He mused, “considering all of the wonderful businesses we were up against, receiving this award was truly an incredible surprise.”  Another banner moment for TSS happened on December 13th, at our annual Holiday Luncheon, when Mr. Ed Kelly, Senior Coordinator for Texas State Representative Dr. Alma A. Allen’s office, surprised Michael and Melinda Wilhelm with awards for their steadfast support of the senior community in the Greater Houston area. An award was also presented to our dynamic Care Coordinator, Ms. Nikki Ellis, for her hard work and dedication in assisting Representative Allen’s office secure better lives for Houston’s seniors. Ms. Ellis is quick to offer that none of this would have been possible without the aid and encouragement of her co-workers at TSS.


TrustedSeniorSpecialists-GivesBack-Holidays3.jpg.jpegNamely, with the support of our in-house call center team at our headquarters in Houston, TSS partnered with the Fort Bend Meals on Wheels program to help supply gifts to roughly 200 seniors this holiday season. Ms. Ellis reflected that getting those gifts out to seniors in need was one of the top experiences for her, out of all of the events she has dutifully helped head this year. An historic event she additionally hearkened upon was working with the State Representative’s office to take eager seniors out to the polls to vote, during the 2016 National Presidential Election.


The upcoming year brings with it grand plans for TSS as well. Indeed, the Wilhelms great hope is that in the same fashion as with Ms. Ellis and their current community outreach program in Houston, they can expand to create sister programs that assist seniors and beneficiaries in the many other state communities TSS serves. We also look forward to opportunities to utilize new technologies to support our mission, and to enhance that which is already in place for you, our clients. TSS will additionally ensure that our agents are continuously updated regarding any and all changes made to Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA under the new presidential administration. It is simply of the utmost importance to us that we always do right by our clients, with the end result being that they feel educated in their choices--and empowered, confident that they made the right choice regarding their healthcare coverage. Everything we accomplish, and everything we move towards for our future and the future of our clients, is purely the result of this core mindset, and of the tremendous team effort of our tireless TSS family.

So, from our TSS Founders, staff, call center agents, and our over 5,000 field agents nationwide--a cheery and safe New Year’s Eve 2016 to all of you, and we look forward to serving your healthcare, life insurance, indemnity, and other coverage needs in a prosperous, healthy, and happy 2017!
