Posted by TSS Medicare Helper on Mar 15, 2017 11:00:00 AM

Each Medicare prescription drug plan has it’s own list of covered drugs called a formulary. 3 Ways to Prepare For Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period

Posted by TSS Medicare Helper on Aug 31, 2016 12:00:00 PM

For most people who are on Medicare, it is very likely that they have heard the phrase Annual Enrollment Period, or it’s abbreviation AEP.  Many Medicare beneficiaries may wonder what this Annual Enrollment Period means for them and their current coverage.  Medicare coverage year AEP runs from October 15 to December 7 every year. This will be the only opportunity a beneficiary has to review, renew and/or change their current Medicare plans for the upcoming year, unless they fall under an SEP (Special Election Period) which is only available when significant life events occur. Posted by Teofi Gomez on Apr 18, 2016 4:19:08 PM

The Department of Health and Human Services has released information that shows that millions of seniors and people with disabilities on Medicare continue to save on prescription drugs as well as see improved benefits as a result of the Affordable Care Act.  In the past it is believed that as many as 1 in 4 seniors went without a prescription each year because they were unable to afford it.  To help these seniors, this law provides relief for those people with the highest drug costs, the ones in the donut hole.
